With the help of specifically developed and patented techniques, Dr. Klopfer managed to separate protein from starch in certain types of crop. This enabled him to produce oat flakes from rye, wheat and oats as well as whole-grain bread (“Klopfer-Brot”) and protein-enriched pasta (“Dr. Klopfer’s Nudeln”). In addition, he developed the world’s first pure vegetable protein concentrate (Glidine®).
